So we haven't mowed are yard. It looks bad. But to the girls it's so pretty. They just love all the "pretty yellow flowers!" I get buckets of them picked for me every day. And honestly, it makes them happy so hey, why not!! With are situation the way it is are yard care is the last thing I really care about.

Ahhhhh....how sweet! Brings back the memories. We used to pick ARMFULS of those things for my mom and my grandma. They weren't as appreciative as you. haha!!

I would love them in my grass if those little yellow follower didn't go to seed so quickly and turn into little puff balls and then ugly tall stems sticking up all over.

When my oldest daughter was 2, she used to pick me many bouquets of "sunfowers" to put on the table. I didn't have the heart to tell her they were nuisance weeds that daddy sprayed the yard to kill.
If only I still had the eyes of a child to appreciate beauty where others see weeds.
